DePuy Pinnacle Implants are “voluntarily removed from the market”

On August 31, 2013, Johnson and Johnson, and it’s division DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc. discontinued sales of ULTAMET® Metal-on-Metal and COMPLETE™ Ceramic-on-Metal Hip Systems.

In a statement dated May 16, 2013, DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc. boldly states, “The decision to discontinue these products is not related to safety or efficacy, and is not a recall. ”  Read the full statement of DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc.

In the face of thousands of documented injuries from Pinnacle hip implant failures, DePuy continues to outrageously deny there is any problem with the safety of their Pinnacle hip implants.

There are presently more than 3,000 lawsuits consolidated before  Judge Kinkeade In The United States District Court Northern District Of Texas Dallas Division  in the DePuy Pinnacle MDL 2244.
